Play for Polisso 2014

The Santa Clara University men's basketball team is taking on all comers in Los Gatos on April 29, and it's all for a good cause.

The Broncos are participating in Play for Polisso '14, a benefit basketball event that will serve as a fundraiser for Nancy Polisso in her battle with ALS.

Santa Clara will play against five local teams that will each pay a $100 registration fee for the opportunity to challenge the Broncos. The games, along with slam dunk and three-point shooting contests, will be played on April 29, 6-8 p.m., in the gym at Fisher Middle School. Admission is $5 per person, and there will be a raffle that night. Additional donations will be accepted at the door.

Fisher eight-graders Cameron Erbst, Matt White, Will Fordyce, Drake Taormina and Jackson Yamamoto are organizing the event, and all proceeds will go to help offset the medical costs incurred by Nancy Polisso in her fight against Lou Gehrig's Disease.
